The Meyer's touch!
Review By:
Benny Prim It looks like any place Danny Meyer puts his stamp on turns out to be an instant success, and Blue Smoke is no exception. This tribute to barbecue is big and bold, yet simple with its industrial lighting, cozy booths and vinyl-covered seats. The food is strictly American, although we did spot a smoked fois gras appetizer on the menu. But for the most part it's smoked meats; ribs, brisket and pulled pork served with buckets of fries, onion rings and mac and cheese. All the food is good, although if you're looking for ribs dripping in barbecue sauce this is not the place. Here the meat is the star and the sauce is secondary. Dinner for two will run you about 80 bucks It's also a great place to stop in for a drink. The bar is hopping and the juke box is great, or you can go for the live jazz Overall, it's another Meyer success story.
