Cititour Review:

Even before you step into Chinatown Brasserie, you can't help being wowed. The restaurant is in a landmark building with huge columns and arched windows. The thrills continue inside. Take for instance the first floor restaurant with its huge Chinese lamps and lacquered furniture. Downstairs has a more loungey feel, complete with giant-sized carp swimming in a reflecting pool. But the real treat is the dim sum. Chef Joe Ng has done a fabulous job creating little treats that look as wonderful as they taste. The shrimp and snow pea leaf dumplings with black sesame seed eyes looked like little ghosts as they melt away in your mouth. The traditional duck dumplings are also fastastic and very authentic. In all, Chinatown Brasserie plans to offer 40 types of dim sum during the day with a shorter list at night, along with a complete dinner menu. Chinatown Brasserie is already drawing a classy crowd sipping designer drinks. I sampled a passion fruit mojito with a Gosling floater. Let's just say I only needed one.
