Coco Roco offers a taste of authentic Peruvian cuisine. This Brooklyn restaurant also packs in quite a Manhattan-style crowd.

Benny Prim On the menu you'll find several varieties of ceviche, a traditional seafood dish marinated in a spicy lime sauce and served with sweet potatoes. We tried the mixed seafood which was excellent. You'll also find on the menu, lomos saltada (a peruvian stir-fry made with beef and french fries), jalea (mixed seafood lightly fried in purple corn meal) and anticuchos ( marinated beef heart served on a skewer). But most people head to Coco Roco for its Peruvian style chicken which is terrific, but not quite as good as the chicken we've had at Pio Pio in Queens. Still, Coco Roco is worth the trip and quite affordable. A whole chicken goes for about eight bucks. Entrees: $10-$15. Good service. Major Credit cards accepted. Neighborhood: Park Slope Entree Price: $10-15 Leave a Comment |
