Falai Pannetteria is the type of place where you could easily hang out all day, sipping a cappuccino and devouring one of their top-notch desserts.   The cafe is also true to its roots serving up authentic Italian fare.

The menu boasts traditional dishes like Lasagna Bolognese ($13) and gnocchi in pesto sauce ($12).   There also small plates of veal meatballs ($11) and panini sandwiches ranging from prosciutto and mozzarella ($11) on a traditional baguette to grilled sausage with pickled red peppers on country bread ($10).

Desserts are exceptional, like the strawberry panna cotta ($5).   Each mouthful was a delight.  They also serve a wonderful almond banana cake ($3).  A thin slice of this ultra-sweet cake is topped with a slice of carmelized banana (A little goes a long way). It's perfect with a cup of espresso.
