Fatty 'Cue, the popular Williamsburg spot for barbecue, now has a new location in the West Village. Just look for the little pig leg handle on the door.

And there is plenty of pork to be had, including pork ribs with Indonesian long pepper, fish sauce and palm sugar, and deep-fried bacon with a spicy salsa verde. But they're not just big on pig. There's lamb shoulder, goat ragu, buttermilk fried rabbit and beef brisket smothered in chilies and roasted onions. Starters and sides include "Caviar & Corn," a "Ham, Jam, Butter & Bread" pretzel sandwich, and crushed new potatoes with green chili curry.

They're also cooking up some mean cocktails like the Chupacabra made with tequila, fresh watermelon and lime or the Fatty Manhattan with ri1 rye whiskey, vermouth and smoked cherry coke.

And if you miss smoking a Newport try the Coconut-Watermelon-Menthol dessert; a concoction of coconut-mangosteen sherbert, dill compressed watermelon and menthol ice. But what else would you expect from a place where you've come to expect the unexpected. - Thomas Rafael
