Citing a lack of good Chinese food in Bushwick, Chef Kevin Adey (of Faro) and his wife, Debbie, have opened General Debs, with a nod toward spicy Sichuan cooking. Look for classics like Pork Wontons on top of a hot & sour sauce; Dan Dan Mian made with egg noodles, minced pork, pickled mustard in a sesame sauce; and La Zi Ji Chicken served with a pile of dried Sichuan chili peppers. A full bar features inventive cocktails along with local draft beers and wines from small producers designed to complement the cuisine. Just look for the bright red neon sign that reads "refuel" in Chinese.
