Foods from Italy’s Emilia Romagna region of Northern Italy are the focus at Nonna Beppa, Chef Wendy Cacciatori new restaurant on Hudson Street. Homemade pastas, including tortellini, are made fresh daily and can even be personalized with the stuffing of your choice. Starters include cured meats and cheeses along with dishes like arugula with castelmagno cheese and figs. Tortellini is offered two ways; in broth or a cream sauce. There’s lasagna bolognese and tagliatelle with artichokes and lemon. Larger plates include the Chef’s Filet Mignon, breaded chicken with prosciutto and Parmigiano, and meatballs with tomato sauce. Desserts range from a strawberry tart to chocolate salami.
