Cititour Review:

Nuchas, a maker of artisan empanadas, is the newest arrival to the Times Square street food scene.  The restaurant located in a cargo container is serving six types of empanadas including the Argentine which is the closest to a traditional empanada with its rich filling  of ground beef, onions and peppers.  My personal favorite is the short rib which has just a hint of sweetness from a Malbec reduction.  There's also a pulled pork version, spicy cheese, which has a very nice kick, and the caprese made with sundried tomatoes, mozzarella and basil in a basil dough. 

Nuchas is serving its empanadas for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  You'll find the kiosk between 44th and 45th Streets on Broadway. Each empanada costs $3 and you'll need at least two to satisfy your appetite.   Nuchas joins the Snack Box and Salume as a trio of treats now in the heart of Times Square.
