92Y to Celebrate 50th Anniversary of Lyrics and Lyricists

The 92nd Street Y will open its 50th anniversary season of its popular “Lyrics and Lyricists” series with “David Loud: Facing the Music” on March 19, 20 and 21. The show, which is based on Loud’s upcoming memoir of the same name, will celebrate the 34-year career of the renowned Broadway music director. The cast will feature vocalists Heidi Blickenstaff, Laura Darrell, David Garrison, Jason Gotay and Matthew Scott.
The series continues April 23-25 with “You Send Me: The Songs and Soul of Sam Cooke,” conceived by and starring award-winning sinver Darius De Haas, and “Isn’t It Bliss: Sondheim on Love,” conceived and hosted by famed musical director Ted Sperling, which will run June 18-20.
