Angie Mar's Le B Offers Young Gourmands a Taste of Fine Dining

It’s called the Young Gourmands Club, and for a limited time, Angie Mar, Chef & Proprietor of Restaurant Le B (283 West 12th St, NYC) is offering children under 15 a fine dining experience.

The inspiration for this initiative came about when Chef Mar was reminiscing about her first fine dining experience, which was at Canlis in Seattle as an eight-year-old. “I was so thrilled to be there, and the experience that day is still imprinted in my mind, and in many ways, I believe it set me on the path of falling in love with cuisine and the world of hospitality," said Mar.

The Young Gourmands Club Menu costs $60 for three courses. A bespoke mocktail menu and pairings will also be available, and bookings for this menu will be from 5pm-9pm, available for children 15 and under (who must be accompanied by an adult).

Dishes include a Grilled Cheese prepared table side, Lollipops of Lamb Bourguignon, Unicorn Cake” served à la mode, Chicken Nuggets (a fun take on a kids favorite) and a Banana Split with flambéed bananas prepared table side.

Mocktails include a Smoked Shirley Temple (complete with cotton candy) and Orange "Hi-B" (A version of the children's drink, Hi-C Punch).

The Young Gourmands Club menu is being served 3-days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays) from July 23rd through August 10th and is running congruent to Le B.’s regular NYC Restaurant Week menu.
