Ariana Madix to Join Broadway’s Chicago

TV star Ariana Madix will join the cast of the long-running Broadway musical “Chicago” as Roxie Hart from January 29 until March 24.
Madix will play Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer in the 1920s who murders her lover and then dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines.
Madix is best known for appearing in Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” and was a contestant on the recently completed season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” placing third in the competition.
The revival, which was directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb.
