On July 14, The Whitney will present Ilana Savdie: Radical Contractions. The exhibition spotlights emerging powerhouse Ilana Savdie and her explorations of performance, transgression, identity, and power through vibrant and intense large-scale canvases. More info here

Also on July 22, The Whitney will be hosting the first ever Whitney Hopper Ride. This approximately 60-mile round trip bike ride from Manhattan’s Meatpacking District to Hopper’s birthplace of Nyack, New York and back will take place July 22, 2023, on what would have been Edward Hopper’s 141st birthday. Raising Cane's is continuing its New York City expansion with a second location set to open at 10 Astor Place (at Lafayette St). It follows the opening of Raising Cane’s flagship store in Times Square. Founded by Todd Graves in 1996, Raising Cane’s is known for its chicken fingers, Texas toast and secret Cane’s sauce.

The Union Square Greenmarket is teeming with fresh produce. Folks will find lots of healthy greens, root vegetables like carrots and beets, along with the freshest strawberries you will find in the city. Summer corn is starting to trickle in. Garden plants and fresh herbs are also in abundance. The market is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays year round. More here

Sand and Sailing is coming to the Seaport. Summer sails are now available on the Clipper City. Tours on sailing ship take place daily as you cruise by the Statue of Liberty and take in expansive NYC views. The tours costs $98 for adults and $45 for kids 12 and under. More here.

Separately, Beach Fest will be held at the Seaport from July 28-30. Stick your feet in the sand, grab a cocktail from the nearby Outdoor Bar and imagine you are at the shore. DJs will also be spinning tunes. More here

All this month, the Brooklyn Cyclones will be honoring the Mets with appearances by Bartolo Colon on Friday, July 14th; Mookie Wilson on Sunday, July 16th; and Howard Johnson on Saturday, July 29th. Bobbleheads are available for purchase and the players will be signing autographs. Details here.
