The l’abeille team is working with legendary sushi chef Eiji Ichimura on an exciting new project. Sushi Ichimura is set to open in Tribeca this spring. But you can get an exclusive preview at l’abeille every Monday before it opens. According to the restaurant, seats for February 20, 27, and March 6 have just been released.  Ichimura formerly served his omakase at David Nouley’s now-shuttered Brushstroke.  Tribeca Citizen has more details on the new restaurant.

D’yan Forest, the 88-year-old comedienne who recently received the Guinness World Records title for Oldest Working Female Comedian in the World, is set to perform her one-woman show “Swinging on the Seine,” at the FRIGID New York Fringe Festival running from February 15th to March 5th. Critics have noted her as the “naughty version of Betty White” as she takes her risqué one-woman show complete with her trusty ukulele to New York comedy clubs.

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but it looks like due to unseasonably warm weather, the NYC Parks Department says it was “unable to produce snow to host Winter Jam 2023” at Central Park on February 4th.  The cancellation coming even as the city is bracing for an arctic blast. You may want to take the kids ice skating instead.

Until next time, we'll be seeing you Around Town!
