As You Are Adds Seasonal Options at the Ace Hotel Brooklyn

As You Are, the American restaurant in Brooklyn’s Boerum Hill neighborhood, is offering dishes and desserts that fit the season. Chef/Partner Camille Becerra (formerly of De Maria and Navy) is known for her bright and soulful seasonal fare packed with vibrant flavors.

Dinner highlights include starters like Chips & Dip with cucumber, wasabi roe yogurt, and kombu oil, and a Crispy Vegetable Pancake with cabbage relish, aji aioli, watercress, and chili oil. Seasonal salads like Chicories & Seaweeds comes with avocado, hazelnut, and miso-honey dressing. Heartier plates bring Winter Squash Peanut Curry with coconut rice, scallion oil, curry leaf; Half Chicken with napa cabbage and kohlrabi slaw; and Poached Swordfish with black-eyed peas, sorghum, kale, and cream; among others.

New desserts from Pastry Chef Danny Alvarez (formerly of Gramercy Tavern, Union Square Cafe, and Dominique Ansel where he helped oversee the launch of the Cronut) include Vanilla Bean Rice Pudding with candied pumpkin, sweet potato chips, and citrus zest, and a sophisticated spin on S’Mores with toasted marshmallow ganache, molten cake, and Speculoos ice cream.
