Hattie B’s and Brooklyn Kolache are spicing things up with a new Nashville Hot Chicken Kolache. If you are not familiar with a kolache, it’s a hand-filled pastry stuffed with sweet and savory ingredients. At Brooklyn Kolache they are made in small batches, Texas-style. Hattie B’s, meanwhile, is known for its Southern fried chicken and scratch-made sides.
The Nashville Hot Chicken Kolache is loaded up with Hattie B’s hot chicken and heritage pork sausage along with pickles and Hattie B’s signature “comeback sauce,” similar to a spicy mayo. It’s then topped with seasoned fried crunchies.
The Nashville Hot Chicken Koloache is available through the end of the February at Brooklyn Koloache’s Greenwhich Village and Bed-Stuy locations. 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Nashville’s Giving Kitchen.
