July 15, 2021, 1:15.34 am ET
Brooklyn Kolache which got its start 9 years ago in Bed-Stuy is branching out to Manhattan with a second location in Greenwich Village. The Texas-style pastries are made from scratch in house.
Kolaches are made with a yeast dough with sweet and savory fillings such as fruit jams, poppy seeds, cheese and streusel topping or savory with sausages, cheese, eggs and vegetables. Flavors at Brooklyn Kolache change with the seasons but signature ones are always available, including Poppyseed; Cherry and Sweet Cheese; Chocolate Ganache and Bacon, Egg & Cheese. At the new Bleecker Street location, kolaches are filled with Faicco's classic sweet Italian sausage, egg and cheese.

All of the pastries are made in small batches with natural and organic ingredients whenever possible. Orange or cinnamon rolls, vegan biscuits and cookies, plus coffee, tea, and other beverages, including a vibrant purple Ube Latte round out the menu.
Brooklyn Kolache is located at 185 Bleecker St (at MacDougal), New York, NY. For more information, visit www.brooklynkolache.com
