Now you can study the art of sake making at Brooklyn Kura’s new interactive, hands-on Sake Studies Center. Director of Education Timothy Sullivan, who was awarded the prestigious title of “Sake Samurai” by the Japan Sake Brewers Association, is offering a welcoming environment where guests can learn about the beverage, try creative pairings, and see where the sake is made.
Courses include:
Introduction to Sake ($75 per person): An approachable intro, the interactive tasting includes a guided tour of the production facility, thought-provoking Q&As, and more.
Sake and Cheese Pairing Experience ($99 per person): A guided tasting of four craft sakes and a cheese board featuring spreads from different regions, and brewery tour.
Valentine’s Day Sake & Desserts Pairing Experience (Wednesday, 2/14 at 6pm; $99 per person): For a romantic evening with your S.O. or fun activity with your BFF, the experience includes a guided tasting of four craft sake and delectable, Asian-inspired desserts, including chocolate made with Brooklyn Kura’s Kasu (a by-product of production).
The taproom is also home to regular programming like live music, chef pop-ups and more. For more information, visit brooklynkura.com
