Chez Ma Tante – the neighborhood restaurant in Greenpoint (90 Calyer St) from chef-partners Aidan O’Neal and Jake Leiber – is launching a new dinner menu. Modeled after the famed gastro-pubs of London, Chez Ma Tante is known for serving unfussy foods that feel as if you have just arrived at a friend’s dinner party.

With the help of the restaurant’s new executive chef Oscar Paz (previously at Le Crocodile and The Four Horsemen), the new menu features dishes such as Kohlrabi with Apple and Hazelnuts; Veal Tongue Schnitzel with Celery Root Remoulade; Steelhead Trout with Beets, Almonds, Horseradish Cream; and “Skate Frites” Au Poivre (below).

New snacks and starters include Oysters & Peppercorn Mignonette; Boquerones & Peppers; Smoked Trout Rillette; and Chips and Aioli

Some fan favorites will also remain like Pigs Head Terrine, Chicken Liver Pâté, and Pork Shoulder with Salsa Verde and Lentils.

Beverage manager Lisandra Bernadet, formerly of Gramercy Tavern, is offering new twists on the classics, like Martini CMT with bay leaf infused gin, Hedge Buck, aged rum, French vermouth and ginger shrub; and the Dirty Martini (above) infused with olive brine. The wine program, meanwhile is showcasing sustainable farming practices. For more information, visit chezmatantebk.com
