CTH’s Star-studded Midsummer Night’s Dream Starts Performances

The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) has begun performances of its free, star-studded outdoor production of William Shakespeare's comedy, “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheatre in Marcus Garvey Park. Performances are Tuesdays through Sundays at 8:30pm through July 28.
Directed by Carl Cofield, this production is set against the backdrop of the Harlem Renaissance, and was made possible by the generous support of actor Wendell Pierce.
The cast is led by “King of Queens” star Victor Williams as Theseus /Oberon, Jesmille Darbouze as Hippolyta / Titania, Mykal Kilgore as Philostrate / Puck, Carson Elrod as Tom Snout / Peaseblossom / First Fairy, and internationally renowned comedian Russell Peters as Nick Bottom.
