Caviar Dreams for the New Year
December 23, 2020, 7:04.00 pm ET
For those looking to ring in the New Year in style, here's a few suggestions.
Say goodbye to 2020 and hello to pure beluga. Marky’s Caviar on Madison Avenue and its speakeasy caviar bar HŪSO happens to have a monopoly on the good stuff. However, if you don’t want to splurge on an $800 tin of “huso huso”, treat yourself to a caviar flight curated by Eleven Madison Park alumnus Chef Buddha Lo. Featuring 3 decadent ounces of a variety of Sevruga Classic Grey, Siberian Premium Sturgeon, and White Sturgeon caviar ($195), Marky’s Caviar is delivering luxury directly to your door. Takeout orders can be placed online.
Entertaining a small (distanced) crowd? Impress guests with an indulgent 3-course New Year’s Eve feast. For $200 per person, indulge in a decadent appetizer course of Huso Reserve Caviar, King Crab Legs, Oysters, Carabinero Prawns, and more followed by Wagyu Beef Short Rib Wellington with Truffle Mashed Potatoes, Black Truffle Jus, and a Dark Chocolate Tart for dessert. Plus, champagne, truffle, and caviar upgrades for a truly tony New Year celebration. Minimum 4pp, pre-orders for takeout via Tock, deadline is midnight 12/29 for pickup before 5pm on 12/29.
In Hell's Kitchen, French restaurant Le Prive is offering a $65 Prix Fixe takeout menu, complete with a complimentary bottle of French wine (a $60 value!). Dig in on brasserie classics such as Soupe à L'Oignon, Escargot, Saucisse D’Agneau, Steak Frites and more, finished with Creme Brulee or Mousse au Chocolat.
