Gugu is urban slang for your object of affection. Gugu Room (143 Orchard St) in the Bowery is hoping you will fall in love with its Philippine-inspired cocktails by Beverage Director/Partner Lee Watson (above). Here are a few of those concotions:

El Fili Daquiri made with Tandua Gold Rum, Gina Mango, Yuzo Kosho (chili), Calamansi juice (Philippine lime) and Tagarashi rim

Yuzu Gimlet with Suntory Roku Gin, Dekopon Orange Liqueur, St Germain Elderflower liqueur and yuzu juice

Wasabi Mar-Gari-Ta with Blanco Tequila, Contreau, Calamansi honey, lime, wasabi, Gari (pickled ginger), and smoked Maldon salt rim.

Gugu Midori Sour with Midori, Calamansi juice (Philippine Lime), Blanco Tequila, Nori garnish

Cheers!
