A Hot Toddy at Peck Slip Social (36 Peck Slip, FiDi/Seaport)

Warm up with The Kings Toddy at the recently opened Peck Slip Social in the Seaport. It’s made with locally produced Kings County Bourbon, gentler than Irish or rye whiskey, orange bitters and housemade chamomile honey syrup. While there try some Mediterranean-Asian bites like Shawarma and pulled pork Bao Bun Sliders while enjoying a game of pool.

A Warming Bowl of Pasta at Via Vai (31-09 23rd Ave, Astoria, Queens)

Nothing beats a hot bowl of fresh pasta in the cold weather, and Via Vai in Astoria specializes in classic Roman pastas like Pappardelle con Agnello with lamb ragu; seasonal Chestnut Tagliolini with Rabbit made with chestnut flour and rabbit ragu; meat-filled Tortellini in Brodo (chicken broth); and Polpette, beef meatballs in tomato sauce.

Steamy Momos at Fomo Momo (85 1st Ave, East Village)

Steaming (or fried) Indian-fusion momo dumplings at the just-opened Fomo Momo are another great way to keep warm. Filled with vegetables, paneer (cheese) or chicken, the momos come in a variety of preparations, many spicy and sure to warm diners up, like the fiery Indo-Chinese red chili Schezwan, or spicy and tangy Manchurian.

Udon Noodle Soup at Sanuki Udon (31 West 4th Street, Greenwich Village)

Ramen isn't the only noodle soup for the cold weather — the springy, thicker udon is equally delicious! With housemade noodles, Sanuki Udon is a top destination for hot bowls of chewy udon that come in a range of broths and curries. The broths are als made in-house and simmered for hours.

Gather by the fire at these welcoming spots:

If you are looking to get cozy by a fireplace head to Fraunces Tavern in the Financial District where the Whiskey Bar operates a working fire. Enjoy a glass of wine by the fire at the Black Mountain Wine House in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Or, head to the Employees Only speakeasy in the West Village where a charming working fireplace sits right across from the bar.
