DRAMA BOOK SHOP HOSTS IN THE HEIGHTS BOOK SIGNING
July 15, 2021, 12:44.40 pm ET
The Drama Book Shop announces its first in-person book signing with “In The Heights: Finding Home” authors Lin-Manuel Miranda, Quiara Alegría Hudes and Jeremy McCarter on Wednesday, July 21 at its new home at 266 West 39th Street. The store will close to the public at noon that day.
The book traces the creation of the musical “In the Heights,” co-written by Mr. Miranda and Ms. Hudes, which went on to win four 2008 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It then opened on June 11 as a major motion picture from Warner Brothers (and was immediately available from HBO Max.)
Among his many accomplishments, Mr. McCarter was the co-author of “Hamilton: The Revolution” with Miranda. He spent five years on the staff of the Public Theater and was a writer about culture and politics for New York, Newsweek, and The New York Times.
A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase online beginning Friday, July 16 at 10am. Only one copy of “In The Heights: Finding Home” will be signed for each ticket holder. Appointment times cannot be changed, and all attendees must wear a mask inside the store.
