Economy Candy, an Institution on the LES, Opens at Chelsea Market

Economy Candy, the Lower East Side candy store that has been satisfying New York City’s sweet tooth for more than 85 years, now has a location at Chelsea Market. “A Taste of Economy Candy” is the first extension of the sweet shop since the original opened on Rivington Street.
Economy Candy is known for its huge selection of vintage candies and sweet treats. It joins an impressive roster of likeminded small and local businesses at Chelsea Market, such as Li-Lac Chocolates and longstanding tenant, Amy’s Bread.
