Em Vietnamese Bistro arrives in DUMBO
May 26, 2021, 6:17.08 pm ET
Chef Ly Nguyen grew up in Khanh Hoa, Vietnam before moving to Saigon and eventually to Brooklyn where Em Vietnamese Kitchen was born. Now, she has opened a sister restaurant. Em Vietnamese Bistro in DUMBO is offering the Vietnamese dishes Chef Ly grew up on and inspired by her years spent in Saigon.
The menu is chock full of noodle dishes like Hu Tieu Kho with minced pork, shrimp, egg, chives and fried garlic, Bun Thit Noodle with Saigon-style grilled pork on a bed of vermicelli with lettuce, basil and mint, and Pho Bo, a beef noodle soup with 24-hour beef bone broth, filet mignon, ribeye and beef balls.
Plates for sharing are also abundant, like Cha Gio, crispy Vietnamese spring rolls filled with pork, shrimp, glass noodles and veggies, and Ngheu Xao Bo, butter clams with garlic, chili and fish sauce served with a Bahn Mi for dipping. Mocktails, smoothies and Vietnamese coffee drinks are also available.
Em Vietnamese Bistro is located at 57 Front St, Brooklyn, NY (718) 875-7888
