Frozen Cocktails to Cool Off in NYC's Heat Wave

The heat is on! So why not chill with some frozen cocktails. Here are a few recipes to help you get through it. Bar Pisellino in Greenwich Village is known for its Lemon Sgroppino made with lemon sorbet. Here’s how you can make it at home.

Ingredients:
• 3 Scoops Lemon Sorbet
• .5oz Vodka
• 1oz Prosecco

Garnish: Grated Lemon Zest, 2 paper straws
Directions: Scoop sorbet into a copper bowl and beat first to smooth it out. Add vodka and whisk together creating slush like consistency. Add prosecco and pour into glass.
Glass: Chilled Frappe Glass

White Frosa Rosa
• Rosa Regale Sparkling White
• 2 cups of freshly sliced strawberries
• Splash of orange liqueur

Directions: Pour one bottle of Sparkling White into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. Once frozen, combine with 2 cups of freshly sliced strawberries and a splash of orange liqueur for extra sweetness if desired. Blend until smooth and garnish with a strawberry slice!

Ilegal Frozen Jamaica
• 2 oz Ilegal Mezcal Joven
• 2 oz jamaica syrup
• 1 oz lime juice
• 1.5 cups of ice

Directions: Blend and garnish with lime

Jamaica syrup directions:
Add a handful of dried hibiscus flowers to 1 quart of water. Bring to boil. Strain. Add equal parts sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Flecha Azul Frozen Watermelon Flecharita

• 2 oz Flecha Azul Tequila Blanco
• 1/2 oz Agave syrup
• 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
• 2 Dashes of Angostura bitters
• 1-2 handfuls of watermelon cubes

Directions: Add two handfuls of ice and watermelon cubes into a blender and blend until it's a chunky texture - do not over blend. Add remaining ingredients and give one or 2 quick blends. Pour into a rocks glass and garnish with a watermelon wedge.
