Gage & Tollner to reopen for indoor dining on April 15th
March 23, 2021, 11:58.08 pm ET
Gage & Tollner, the historic restaurant lovingly restored to its original splendor in Downtown Brooklyn, will reopen for indoor dining on Thursday, April 15th. The announcement coming from partners Sohui Kim (Insa, The Good Fork), Ben Schneider (Insa, The Good Fork) and St. John Frizell (Fort Defiance). The partners were set to open the restaurant in March of last year just as the pandemic hit after a successful Go Fund Me campaign. The reopening has been a long time coming. The oyster and lobster house located in a landmark brownstone first opened its doors in 1879 on Fulton Street. It served its last meal in 2004 and spent the next 12 years occupied by chain restaurants and discount retailers before finally getting a new lease on life, which makes this reopening so important.
