HipCityVeg Opens in Union Square

Known as the 'Shake Shack of Plant-Based Food,’ HipCityVeg is making its New York City debut in Union Square. The chain was founded by Philadelphia Latina plant-based powerhouse Nicole Marquis who owns multiple restaurants in the Philadelphia and DC market. Marquis says her goal is to bring delicious plant-based comfort foods to new markets with dishes that are convenient and accessible to everyone.
HipCityVeg is a 100% plant-based, fast-casual restaurant that serves comfort foods like burgers, shakes and fries. Highlights include a Smokehouse Burger, Crispy HipCity Ranch sandwich (battered chick’n, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle & peppercorn ranch, Philly Steak (a vegan Philly cheesesteak), as well as breakfast sandwiches served all day.
