Iconic Gem Spa officially closes in the East Village

Gem Spa, a cult favorite in the East Village known for its egg creams, was attempting a comeback. but could not survive the coronavirus pandemic. On its website, Gem Spa writing "it is with a heavy heart that we announce that our East Village Store is closing permanently." The website will continue to operating highlighting the shop's rich history.
