Jean-Georges taps Jonathan Benno as Chef de Cuisine at Four Twenty Five

Jean-Georges Vongerichten opens his newest resaturant Four Twenty Five in Midtown East with Chef Jonathan Benno in charge of the kitchen. The bi-level space will offer a mix of both chefs’ styles. The restaurant features a sprawling bar on the ground level featuring a huge Larry Poons picture above it, while the second floor will serve as a fine dining space.

In an Instagram post, Four Twenty Five called it,” A full-circle moment for Jean-Georges. In 1986, Jean-Georges began his New York journey at Lafayette, steps away from Four Twenty Five. In 2023, he opens Four Twenty Five, marking the 62nd restaurant in his repertoire of worldwide restaurants.” Four Twenty Five says the ever-changing menu will celebrate the best of each season’s bounty.
Chef Benno says he is “thrilled” to work alongside Jean-Georges and his team. Stay tuned.
