Judy Kuhn to Headline 92NY Laura Nyro Show

Four-time Tony Award nominee Judy Kuhn will headline the 92NY’s newest Lyrics & Lyricists show, “Soul Picnic: The Songs and Legacy of Laura Nyro,” which will run March 2-4.
One of the most revered singer-songwriters of the 1960s and 1970s, Nyro’s many hits included “Stoney End,” “And When I Die,” “Wedding Bell Blues” and “Eli’s Coming.” She was posthumously inducted into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame.
Kuhn earned an Obie Award for her role in “Eli’s Comin’, a revue of Nyro’s music, and has recorded an album of Nyro’s songs entitled “Serious Playground: The Songs of Laura Nyro.” Her many Broadway credits include ‘Chess,” “Les Miserables,” “She Loves Me,” and “Fun Home.” She is also known for voicing Pocahantas in the Disney animated film of the same name.
