Le Pain Quotidien Offering New Holiday Treats
November 29, 2021, 5:39.40 pm ET
Le Pain Quotidien
Popular eatery Le Pain Quotidien is adding a variety of holiday treats in December. Among the new goodies are Pistachio Cranberry Shortbread Cookie, a sweet crumbly biscuit dotted with pieces of chopped pistachios and dried cranberries, and the Holiday Linzer Star cookie, which uses ground hazelnuts and raspberry jam and is finished with a generous dusting of powdered sugar.
The company’s Le Cougnau, which originated in the Netherlands, is a small, sweet bread that includes raisins and is topped with crunchy coarse sugar crystals. It is perfect for enjoying with a steaming hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
For those celebrating Christmas -- or anyone just looking to satisfy a chocolate craving -- the Buche de Noel Chocolate Praline will be offered exclusively from December 8 through December 25. A traditional Christmas dessert in many European countries, it is a soft sponge cake topped with praline filling, rolled, and then finished with a chocolate ganache.
