As October comes to an end, a host of beloved Broadway stars will appear at various special events.

On October 27, the New York Pops, led by conductor Steven Reineke, opens its 2023-24 season with a brand-new concert program, “21st Century Broadway” at Carnegie Hall. The orchestra will be joined by guest artists Hailey Kilgore, Derek Klena, Javier Muñoz, and Ali Stroker, who will perform music from such shows as “Hamilton,” “Wicked,” “The Last Five Years,” “Spring Awakening,” “Waitress,” and more.

From October 28-30, the 92NY will open its latest season of “Lyrics and Lyricists” with “Tale as Old as Time: The Songs of Howard Ashman.” Directed by Tony Award winner Christian Borle, the program will feature Heather Ayers, John Cariani, Nadina Hassan, Manu Naraya and Khadija Sankoh. There will be selections from such classic musicals as “Beauty and the Beast,” The Little Mermaid,” and “Little Shop of Horrors,” as well as cut songs, including one from an unproduced musical about Babe Ruth and one from “Sesame Street.”

Finally, on October 30, Lea Michele, who recently triumphed in the Broadway revival of “Funny Girl,” will make her Carnegie Hall debut with a special concert. Expect beloved show tunes and more, along with some special guests.
