Learning our abcV's at Jean-Georges near Union Square
March 30, 2021, 12:31.26 am ET
On a warm spring afternoon, abcV by Jean-Georges is the perfect spot for dining al fresco near Union Square. Grab a cocktail or two, in this case a Strawberry Martini, and enjoy some innovative vegetarian dishes that doesn’t taste like vegetarian.
One dish that fits the bill immediately is the Mushroom Walnut Bolognese which had us fooled that it wasn’t beef, and then there's the spicy bowl of ramen filled with silky tofu and a trio of mushrooms - woodear, donko and honshimeji - offering earthy goodness.
Other offerings include a house cultured hemp seed burger on sweet potato bun, as well as a whole head of cauliflower smothered with turmeric tahini, za’ater, pomegranate date molasses and pistachios.
The cocktail list also features a Lemongrass Collins, Fennel Margarita and Beetroot Madras along with a lengthy wine list.
abcV is located at 38 E 19th St, New York, NY (212) 475-5829
