Hav & Mar is honoring the cultural significance of Juneteenth. The team, led by Marcus Samuelsson, is offering a special commemorative menu focusing on ingredients that were eaten by enslaved African people. The menu will be offered June 17th and June 19th.
The meal begins with Hush Puppies made with Corn and Jalapeno, Akaraje (Black Eyed Pea Fritter) and Teff Biscuits with Honey Butter. Other offerings include Yucca Fritters & Lamb Meatballs with Berbere Dip, Awaza BBQ Sauce; Deviled Eggs 4 Ways with Spicy Crab, Shrimp, Smoked Salmon, and Lobster; Hav Style Fried Chicken with Crispy Cornbread Casserole; and Fire Roasted Red Snapper with Escovitch and Potato Salad ($25 supplement). For dessert, there is Rice Pudding with Molasses, Puffed Rice Cracker, Bunna, and Citrus.
