May 24, 2021, 7:20.19 pm ET
Heading to the beach, you might want to head to Margie's serving up reinvented American classics at The Rockaway Hotel. The restaurant is named after Margie Murphy, grandmother to Dan and Terence Tubridy, third-generation Rockaway Beach residents and founders of IGC Hospitality which operates the hotel. The restaurant is also paying homage to the Rockaway Beach community with its beachfront decor and an emphasis on seafood.
Diners will discover dishes like Lobster Toast made with chopped lobster, blistered shishito peppers on brioche toast served with its own bisque, Linguini with Manilla clams, garlic, chili, tomato and white wine, anchovy and coriander pesto, as well as Panzanella Salad with heirloom tomatoes, grilled peppers, anchovy, croutons and whipped ricotta. Other offerings include Filet Mignon, New York Strip and a Bone-In Ribeye with a selection of sauces, and Scallops La Plancha with garlic and parsley cream, served with a parmesan crisp. Seafood platters are also available for larger groups like The Cousteau, named after famed maritime explorer Jacques Cousteau, featuring oysters, shrimps, cherystone clams and snow crab claws that feeds up to four people.
