NYC Bites – All’Antico Expands, Peetie’s Pie at Gotham West, Babbo Turns 25 and more...

So much food (and drinks), so little time as we try to keep you up-to-date on NYC's thriving food scene. Here we go!
All’Antico Vinaio, the mega popular Italian sandwich shop from Florence, is heading uptown with a third location on 60th street between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue on July 13th. Stay tuned.
Peetie’s Pie has opened at Gotham West Market offering both sweet and savory pies made with locally sourced ingredients, including classics like wild blueberry served with a scoop of homemade ice cream.
2 michelin-starred restaurant Jungsik, by Chef/Owner Jung Sik Kim, will be closing temporarily from July 3 to July 25, 2023 to undergo renovations to the building. Jungsik says the changes will not impact the guest experience in any way.
Vinegar Hill House in Brooklyn will celebrate Bastille Day on July 14th with oysters, frisée, moules frites, whole fluke meunière, crème brûlée, wine and more.
Temperance Wine Bar on Carmine Street is celebrating its two-year anniversary on Saturday July 22 from 12-3pm with a spread from its new lunch menu, wine, a birthday cocktail as well as games and prizes. Tickets via Everbrite.

The Garden Bar, a lush tropical oasis, has opened for the season at 19 Fulton Street in the Seaport. It replaces Makitiki. Look for frozen cocktails, cold beer and fries from Bel-Fries served from a small truck adjacent to the bar.
Kru & Bin Bin Sake are hosting a pop-up on Thursday, July 6 with a FREE sake tasting (the original date was postponed due to bad weather). It will take place on the Bin Bin patio at 29 Norman Ave in Brooklyn from 6pm until they run out.
Hester Street Fair at Pier 17 in the Seaport will be hosting an Ice Cream Social on July 8 from 11am to 7pm with a friendly competition and music by DJ No Request and Yaan Pessino. It costs $10 to vote after tasting 2oz samples from individual vendors.
Hometown Bar-B-Cue will be serving up live music and pit-smoke cue at its Red Hook location from 1:30pm to 8pm on the 4th of July.
Pineapple Club in the East Village is hosting a July 4th party with $7 glizzys (hot dogs), $10 passionfruit-aperol spritzes and more. 5pm to close.

Speaking of cocktails, Julie Reiner – aka the Mixtress – has just ranked No 24 on Drinks International’s Bar World 100 most influential figures of 2023. Reiner operates Clover Club, Leyenda and Milady cocktail bars. Congrats!
And a very Happy Anniversary to Babbo Ristorante e Enoteca which just marked its 25th year on June 22nd. Boy, time flies when you are eating so well!
