Unconventional, popular, and casual Williamsburg wine bar, Sauced (331 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn) is taking patrons on a journey through New Orleans, courtesy of a food and wine collaboration with Alligator Pear’s Executive Chef, Dominick Lee, a NOLA-native. Alligator Pear opens early Summer 2023 in Manhattan’s Garment District. The food and wine pairing pop-up menu will be available for one night only on May 17th, 5:00 pm until midnight. Falansai (112 Harrison Pl, Brooklyn, NY), by chef and founder Eric Tran is also welcoming Dominick Lee to the New York City dining scene, with a four-hands collaboration taking place at Falansai from June 21st to 22nd. The two will feature dishes such as Viet-Cajun Seafood Boil (clams, shrimp, squid, potatoes, lemongrass pork sausage); Cornmeal Battered Vegetables, served with muoi it xanh (Vietnamese green seafood sauce); Delta tamales; Blue Cornmeal Fried Catfish, and Beignets with chicory coffee ice cream and chantilly cream. Dominick Lee will also be a featured chef at Resident’s upcoming culinary pop-up at The Vandewater (543 W 122nd St, New York, NY) on Wednesday, May 31, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Resident has worked with Lee to curate a progressive Creole five-course tasting menu with wine pairings, priced at $195 per ticket. Embrace your inner artist at Brooklyn Hearts Club’s figure drawing series at Crystal Lake (647 Grand St, Brooklyn) every Tuesday at 7:30pm. Artists are encouraged to bring their own supplies, although limited supplies are available for purchase at each class. New York’s women-owned Talea Beer Company is expanding beyond bars and restaurants. Beers in flavors like Peachberry Punch, Watermelon Splash, Suns Up and Al Dente can be found at Trader Joe’s. They’ve also launched a new way to tack ‘em down with a beer finder.

Starting May 11, 2023, and running through the end of May, ICHIRAN, known for its Tonkotsu ramen, is offering guests at their Midtown and Times Square locations a special “Buy One Kit, Get One Gift” promotion with purchases of their take-home ramen kits. Each kit features three servings of individually packed, Hakata-style noodles, tonkotsu soup concentrate, and original spicy seasoning. The take home ramen kits, available at each restaurant, can also be shipped nationally via their website.
