NYPD Beefing Up Security for Marathon Amid Terror Threats

The New York City Police Department says while there have been no credible threats against the New York City Marathon, it is taking no chances. NYPD Police Chief Edward Caban says there will be a robust counter-terrorist overlook, including heavy weapons team, K9, radiation detection, chemical/biological teams, and mobile response teams. All runners are also being screened.
Hundreds of plain clothed officers are also deployed along with hundreds of cameras, and hundreds of sand truck, according to Caban. The police ate also reminding the public, if you see something, to say something.
