New Chef at Alfie’s Bar and Kitchen

Alfie’s Bar & Kitchen, in Hell’s Kitchen, has named Darren Pettigrew its new Executive Chef. Pettigrew will oversee a new American Gastro Pub menu. Pettigrew was trained in London at the Da Vere Grand Connaught Rooms and grew up working in the kitchens of New York, including Stella Maris in the South Street Seaport. Dishes will spotlight locally sourced organic ingredients. Look for things like Green Chickpea & Avocado Hummus, Crispy Karaage Buffalo Chicken Salad, Beer-battered Fish & Chips, and Alfie's Grass Fed Beef Burger. Desserts come in the form of a Chocolate Chip & Cashew Nut Skillet Cookie and Malted Milk and Salted Caramel gelato. 24 rotating beers will also be on tap from local breweries, including Gun Hill Pilsner and Great South Bay Splashing Pumpkin.
