Optical Illusions Drive artist Sky Kim Whose Works are on Display at Chase Contemporary

Sky Kim, a New York-based artist from Seoul, South Korea now has some of her works on display at Chase Contemporary. Kim is known for her meticulous patters made with incantatory watercolors that operate as optical illusions. On the Chase website she writes, “I have to raise my vibrations to the highest level,” adding, “I put myself in that state so that I am very close to my highest self.” Among the works on display is Transduced I, Vortex Series, 2022 made with watercolor, gouache, acrylic and crystals on paper.
