Patis Bakery, a new certified Kosher bakery specializing in sweet treats, dairy and vegetable-based flatbreads and soups, has opened at 1311 Lexington Avenue (between 88th and 89th Streets). The shop is open primarily for take-out but does have a few indoor tables and a small outdoor seating area.
Originally based in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Patis is known for its high-quality goods. Among the offerings at the Upper East Side store are its espresso cake, dulce de leche croissant, chocolate cookie and a variety of flavored macarons, along with coffee, tea and assorted beverages.
The shop closes on Fridays at 4pm and is closed all day Saturday, due to the Jewish sabbath.
