Tony Award winner Katrina Lenk and two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone, the stars of the hit Broadway revival of “Company,” will come to the 92NY on Monday, May 23 at 7pm for a conversation following an advance screening of the upcoming documentary, “Keeping Company with Sondheim.”
The Great Performances documentary features interviews with the late Stephen Sondheim and never-before-seen rehearsal footage as it takes an inside look at the creative process of bringing Marianne Elliott’s reimagined, gender-swapped production of “Company” to Broadway after its critically acclaimed London run. The production just received nine Tony Award nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical.
Following the screening, Lenk and LuPone will talk with journalist Ruthie Fierberg about how the show is transformed by the Bobby/Bobbie switch, working with Sondheim and the show’s enduring resonance.
