Pecking House is popping up Temperence Wine Bar

Pecking House, the cult favorite chicken concept by Chef Eric Huang, is taking over the kitchen at Temperance Wine Bar, the award-winning bar in the West Village. Pecking House’s classic chili fried chicken will be served alongside an extensive list of 100+ wines and bubbles by the glass. Chef Huang will offer also be offering exclusive new menu items, seasonal sides, and dessert.

For two nights only, the Pecking House pop-up will include OG Chili Fried Chicken Drums (2 for $9) brushed with hot and tingly chili paste; Salt & Pepper Duck Drumettes (3 for $16) seasoned with pickled jalapeno, fried garlic and cilantro; Chicken Sandwich #14 Jr. ($12, with foie gras supplement for an additional $6) served on a bun with charred cabbage slaw, pineapple jam and dark soy caramel; and Grilled Duck Heart Skewers (4 for $8) brushed with tare and seasoned with a coarse spiced salt mix. Sides include Butter Bean Salad ($6) in a black vinegar-sesame vinaigrette. For dessert, there is Coconut Panna Cotta with Miso Caramel ($6) with a coconut-cashew crumble on top

Recommended wine pairings curated by sommelier AJ Ojeda-Pons include Roger Coulon, Brut Blanc de Noirs champagne served with the chicken sandwich, sherry with the duck hearts; and syrah or riesling Spätlese to compliment the broad bean salad.

The Pecking House pop-up will take place November 13th and 14th and is reservation only via Resy.
