On Monday, July 4th, Celestine in DUMBO will be offering a special family-style prix fixe menu for the holiday. The weather looks like it will be a beautiful evening to dine on their gorgeous patio on the East River, overlooking the Manhattan skyline and bridges, while enjoying a specialty cocktail. There will be two windows for seating: 5:30pm to 8:00pm - $85 per person for the prix fixe menu (not including beverages); and 8:15pm - close - $100 per person for the prix fixe menu (not including beverages). El Cartel Tapas Bar and Restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen is offering an array of specials for the Fourth of July Weekend for Friday (7/1), Saturday (7/2), and Sunday (7/3), priced from $30 - $55, but closed on Monday (7/4). Entrées include a choice of Seafood Rice and Bass Filet, a coastal flavored seafood rice with fried striped bass; and Parrillada for Two, a well-packed meal for two consisting of pork chops, chicken breast, skirt steak, shrimp, and Colombian chorizo served with fried yuca, French fries, yellow rice, and black beans. El Cartel’s is also offering Frozen Sangria with a white or red wine base as well as a selection of imported and domestic beer by the bottle headlined by Aguila, the top selling beer in Colombia.

Enjoy this year's Independence Day celebrations with Hidden Lane’s 1776 specialty shots for $5 during July 4th weekend from 7/1 to 7/4. The patriotic shot features grenadine, blue curacao, and vodka giving the drink a red, white, and blue feel for the holiday. Additionally, guests can sip cocktails while enjoying a dedicated BBQ menu with burgers, jerk chicken, hot dogs, and music by Walshy Fire of Major Lazer by the pool. PJ Bernstein is offering delivery and takeout options for all their traditional Jewish deli specialties on Independence Day from 10am –8 pm on Independence Day. The restaurant has remained a staple in the New York Jewish deli dining scene for over five decades. The Catering and Party Menu offers options for 20 to 20 people, and includes Potato, Macaroni, or Cucumber Salad, among others. For the main event, there is classic pastrami, brisket, and corned beef in PJ’s Famous Sandwich Platters.

Emmett’s - 50 MacDougal St. New York, NY

If you can’t make it to Nathan’s hotdog eating contest, stop by the original Emmett’s location on Macdougal Street for an authentic Chicago-style dog. The only true Chicago dog in New York features a Vienna beef hotdog served on a steamed Rosen poppy seed bun with sliced tomato, diced onion, neon green relish with peppers, mustard, a pickle spear and celery salt. In addition, other hearty favorites includes their Char Cheddar Burger and Chicago-style Italian sausage, with sautéed green peppers and onions. Those interested must get their fix over the weekend as the restaurant is closed on July 4th, but available on Sunday from 12-10pm.

For Fourth of July celebrations, Brandon’s and neighboring Court Street Tavern in Carroll Hardens will be serving two patriotic specialty donuts, topped with Razz ma Tazz for a red, white and blue celebratory bite. The donuts are available at the donut shop or for dessert at the restaurant with outdoor dining/seating as the perfect summer destination.
