Popular, the globally inspired signature restaurant of Ian Schrager’s PUBLIC hotel, has unveiled its succulent and imaginative seasonal menu, created by Chef Diego Muñoz of Lima, Peru and Chef John Fraser of New York City
Among the new dishes are Duck Leg with Stir Fried Rice, Cilantro and Huancina, an ode to Peruvian coastal cuisine; Ají de Gallina Tortellini, which salutes Munoz’s Spanish, Moorish and Italian influences; Mushroom Cau Cau, a comforting traditional beef tripe stew; Quince Cachanga, a seasonal-inspired pasty; and a decadent Pumpkin and Vanilla 3 Leches, which is a makeover of the restaurant’s most popular dessert.
Munoz has also added a variety of specialty cocktails to the menu, each made with Peru’s noble spirit, Pisco, including the “La Rojita,” “El Conde,” Infalible,” “Senora Presidente” and the “Mala Calabazza.”
