As Broadway prepares for its comeback, some familiar names in the Theater District are also poised to reopen.
Carmine’s Italian Restaurant in Times Square has a sign out front that reads simply, “See you in September.” The restaurant is known for its Southern Italian cuisine and large plates for sharing.
Sardi’s is setting the stage for a reopening sometime in early Fall. The Broadway legend has been closed for much of the pandemic as Broadway remained shuttered.
And John’s of Times Square, also on West 44th Street, is now expected to reopen on September 13th. John’s is best known for its thin-crust, brick oven pizzas.
One restaurant not returning is The Ribbon. It is being replaced by Bacall’s Family Steakhouse which is set to open on September 17th.
