Restaurant Radar - Mr. Sun and Yemen House Restaurant

Signage is up for Mr. Sun (48 West 48th St) just steps away from Rockefeller Center. A sneak peek shows a modern space with an interesting tiled wall with green inlaid lights and what appears to be a full bar. It looks to be an Asian restaurant for lunch and dinner. The only other Mr. Sun we are aware of was a ramen spot in Flushing, Queens which has since closed.

Also preparing to open in Brooklyn is Yemen House Restaurant (7204 Fifth Ave, Brooklyn). We're told this is the sister restaurant to the nearby Yemen Cafe. The interior of the new restaurant is much more ornate, compared with the cafe which is less formal. The restaurant is known for its generous portions and authentic Yemeni food.
