Restaurant Yuu Offers Dessert Tasting Menu

Michelin-starred Restaurant Yuu is launching a dessert-tasting menu served at their bar.

Menu highlights include:

• Furano Melon, from Hokkaido, Japan (a region known for its high-quality melon) served with yellow peach compote, mango pudding, and verbena infused sorbet

• Mont Blanc, a reimaged tart sized dessert of sweetened local chestnut purée with Yamazaki 12-year Whiskey cream and smoke, a play on the nineteenth-century dessert created in Paris

• Grapes and Yogurt, with yogurt espuma (foam), kiwi, local grape, and white wine and yuzu gin alginate

• Apple Pie, perfect for fall, made with Honeycrisp apples, Calvados caramel, chestnut cream, fig oil, and house-made pastry dough prepared using traditional French Tarte Tatin technique

This limited-time menu will be offered throughout September on the 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, and 26th.

The dessert tasting by Executive Pastry Chef Masaki Takahashi features a four-course menu with tea pairing and take-home sweets for $100 per person. There are only six seats per seating, available every half hour from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with each seating lasting 1 hour. Take-Home Desserts will include house-made almond and hazelnut chocolates.
