Retaurant Yuu Offers Vegetarian Tasting Menu in Greenpoint

Michelin-starred, Restaurant Yuu, located in the fashionable Little Tokyo District of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, is launching a vegetarian tasting menu.

For the menu, Executive Chef-Owner, Yuu Shimano, and his team of all-star Japanese hospitality professionals have developed an innovative vegetarian menu with a French-Japanese flair.

Highlights from the vegetarian menu include, but are not limited to are:

· Sugar Snap Pea Glee with fresh yuba and soy milk

· Tomato Gazpacho with basil and raspberry

· Spring Risotto with bamboo shoot and fava beans

· Salt crust celery roots with miso, crème fraiche and almond oil

· Choux Farci with cauliflower and blue cheese

· Vol au vent with porcini, morel and mushroom jus (above)

Guests are then escorted to an intimate part of the restaurant called the parlor to indulge in Executive Pastry Chef Masaki Takahashi’s beautifully designed mignardise creations that are accompanied by tea, coffee, or digestifs, while taking in the sounds of smooth jazz and soft classical. Also available are beverage and tea pairings.
